We're Taking Two Days So We Can Help Raise Money For The Raise The Roof Campaign

It's been one of those crazy days. I'm trying to get everything done because tomorrow and Saturday, we're volunteering our time to help raise money for the Raise the Roof Campaign. It's one of the biggest fundraisers to date for Ledyard C.H.A.I.N. The goal is to raise $10,000 to pay for a new roof that the Ledyard Pound desperately needs.

This pound has a special place in our hearts for so many reasons. The biggest is that 4 of the furry kids in this 2 family home have been adopted from the Ledyard Pound. That includes our lil' Lobo.

Tomorrow, I'll be baking homemade cookies for the humans that includes chocolate chip and Pastel M&M Cookies. Then, I'll bake homemade treats for the pups. We'll be bringing the baked goods to the event at the Groton Pet Supplies Plus.

In addition, we're blocking off a few hours in the afternoon to make rounds in our neighborhood. Lisa will be dressed as the Easter Bunny. I'll be taking photos. We're providing this service because the actual event is Saturday, March 31st in Groton, CT. It's 40 minutes away. It's too far for our neighborhood tribe to attend. Because of this, we offered to do pet photos, collect the money, and deliver the photos on Easter.

On Saturday, we'll be leaving at 9:30 and heading to Groton, CT. Again, Lisa will be dressed as the Easter Bunny. I'll be taking pet photos. The event is from 11-3.

It's going to be crazy, busy, but we're up for the challenge. We're looking forward to this event and doing what we can to raise money for a new roof for the Ledyard Pound.
