Things Don't Always Go As Planned. And, I Need A New Girly Gadget Box.

A couple of weekends ago, Lisa spent the afternoon cutting and sanding 20 pieces of wood down to size. I took 10 pieces of that wood, along with some of the hand cut wooden doggy bones made by Mr. Ice, and made Bodacious Personalized Holiday Signs. Over the weekend, I used the last of the wood plaques and doggy bones to create 9 doggy themed Welcome Signs.

Earlier today, I posted this on my personal Facebook page...

"This week, I'll have 8 handcrafted DIY Dog Mom Projects available in the form of medium wooden dog-themed "welcome" signs. I JUST applied the satin varnish protective coating. All that's left to do is attach a twine hanger. These will be up for grabs tomorrow for $12 each. I've already sold the dark purple (not shown)."

My plans for this evening were to install the tiny metal loops for the twine hanger, put the satin varnish protective coating on the back, and twine it up.

It would have taken me less than an hour to do.

Prior to doing this, my plans were to make a batch of pumpkin muffins. I could complete my DIY Dog Mom Project while the muffins were baking.

In the morning, when we have the best daylight streaming through the kitchen windows, I would snap photos and post these doggy themed Welcome Signs.

I had it all planned out.

I tucked Lisa and our kids into bed.

Then, after fetching my makeshift "girly" gadget box, I realized I only had 4 tiny metal loops. Each sign requires 2 loops. I had 9 signs. I was short 14 tiny loops.

Shit.

I dropped the F-Bomb an embarrassing amount of several times.

This is what I'm talking about.

Things don't always go as planned in my Work at Home Dog Mom Life.

I'm making a lot of changes in 2018.

Those changes should hopefully prevent mishaps like this.

And, I totally need a new girly gadget box.

Seriously. I do.
