These 2 Doggy Ice Cream Recipes Are A Cinch To Make

We're a week into the official start of the Summer season. It's probably safe to say a good majority of us have taken our fur-babies with us to grab a cone at our favorite ice cream stand. More and more ice cream stands are offering up special treats for the fur-kids...from frozen biscuit sandwiches to pup sundaes.

If you're not able to bring your fur-kid to the ice cream stand, or you don't have time, there's the option to purchase pre-made frozen pup treats however, those can get expensive especially if you're doling out these frozen yummies to multiple fur-kids.

The solution? Make your own. Simple ingredients. You get more for a lot less. Best of all...a batch makes a bunch so you'll always have some on hand.

Making your own frozen dog treats is a cinch. Combine 2 cups of plain or vanilla yogurt, 1 large ripe banana, and 1/4 cup of peanut butter. Blend all ingredients until smooth and pour the mixture into containers of your choice. Freeze for about 3 hours.

If your pup is unable to have dairy...no problem! Peel and slice 2-3 very ripe bananas and freeze. Once frozen, combine frozen bananas, 2 tablespoons of peanut butter, and a sprinkle of cinnamon in a blender or food processor. You may need to add a tablespoon or two of water for a soft serve consistency. Once blended, put into containers of your choice and freeze.

With both recipes you can mix in pup safe fruits, cinnamon, oats, carob powder or carob chips for an extra yummy treat. Enjoy!
