Life Happens. I Need To Capture These Moments.

Lisa arrived home from work today with an iced coffee for her and an iced latte for me. Much needed. I was on my 12th hour of baking biscuit love for the Annual Spring Festival and Craft Show. I sat at the kitchen table while she changed out of her work clothes and took the kids out. About 20 minutes later, she joined me at the table. With Lobo. My phone was nearby so I grabbed it and snapped this photo. I. Love. It.

When I capture moments like this, I'm reminded that I need to take more photos of our kids. Of Lisa. Our family. Daily happenings. As of late, I've been slacking.

Really. Really. Slacking.

Often times, I find myself scraping the bottom of the barrel for photos to accompany blog columns and Facebook page updates.

I'll be the first to admit, I've posted duplicate photos.

Preparing for the Annual Spring Festival and Craft Show that we'll be participating in on Saturday (May 20th) has kept us beyond busy. We're almost at the finish line. The event is less than a week away.

When the event is done and over with, and I complete 2 custom Bodacious Patchwork Doggy Quilts in the few days following the event, I'm going to attempt to try something.

That "something" is spending 30-60 minutes a day behind the lens.

Maybe, at first, it'll start off with a few times a week.

Then, I'll tack on an extra day.

I'll keep tacking on days until I'm doing this daily.

I need to.

Life happens every single day. I need to capture these moments. I need to put this time aside every day because snapping photos of our kids is no easy task.

Coco doesn't like having his photo taken. Sophie varies. One day she doesn't mind, the next, she hates it. Lobo loves to be photographed. Willa doesn't mind the camera, but she's so quick and getting good photos of her is a challenge.

I'd like to capture at least 1 good photo of each of our kids daily.

It can happen.

I need to make time for this to happen.
