Every Item Sold During The Bodacious 7 Days Of Love

Yesterday was the last day of the Bodacious 7 Days Of Love. It went by so fast! After spending several weeks making cool DIY Dog Mom Projects to offer, it's hard to believe those 7 days came and went so quickly. I'm proud to say, every item sold.

The other day, I posted the first 4 items that had been up for grabs.  We still had 3 more items to offer. At the time, I was still putting the final touches on 2 of those items.

On February 5th, the last of our leash/pup apparel holders went up for grabs. Also included with this item was a bag of our homemade dog treats. I had a hard time parting with this one because all of our kids are rescues.

This leash/pup apparel holder was cut down to size, sanded, painted, distressed for a rustic look, hand painted with freehand lettering and details, and coated with a protective gloss. We attached 3 hooks on the front and 2 brackets on the back for hanging.

One posted, someone grabbed it right around the 15 minute mark.

The following day, February 6th, I posted one of my handmade patchwork doggy quilts as an item up for grabs. Also included was a bag of mixed bone and heart shaped biscuits. For this item, I did something I had never done before. I posted a photo of the quilt, prior to it being complete, the night before. Quite a few people replied.

I didn't want to part with this item either, but I had to.

While creating this piece, I couldn't resist adding an applique heart paw print square because...it's all about the love! This quilt measured 30 inches wide and 39 inches long and I added a layer of quilt batting for extra warmth.

It sold in under a MINUTE!

On the last day of the Bodacious 7 Days Of Love, this patchwork doggy quilt was the focus item in our grand finale bundle. As with the previous item, I posted a photo of the quilt, as it neared completion, hours before it was officially up for grabs.

The grand final item was a Bodacious Patchwork Doggy Quilt Movie Night Bundle. This bundle include this handcrafted patchwork doggy quilt with applique hearts, a bag of biscuit love, a half dozen of my large homemade chocolate chip cookies, and a bag of popcorn.

The quilt measured 34 inches wide and 47 inches long. The solid color is a pale, muted yellow. The print are tiny paw prints on a black background. The fabric on the back is the same pale yellow, but it has a buttery soft, velvet texture. Cozy! Cozy! Cozy!

A record was broken today because this bundle sold in less than 10 SECONDS!

True story.

We had so much fun all the way around with launching the Bodacious 7 Days Of Love. It was a lot of work, but definitely worth every minute.

The money raised will be used to restock our shelves with ingredients, supplies, cover shipping costs for our Bodacious Biscuit Love care packages, spread more biscuit love, and to provide pet parents in need with treats and food.

The cost to do all of that can get expensive. Even though we're going on 4 years since the launch of Bodacious Biscuit Love, we're still running out of pocket. That won't ever change. We've accepted that. We love what we do.

Every so often, we like to do fun stuff like this instead of simply asking for donations. We put a great deal of effort into the DIY Dog Mom Projects that we offer. In turn, those efforts pay off and help us with some of the costs of ingredients, supplies, and the hefty shipping costs.

Sometimes, it also inspires me.

And, it inspired me to seriously consider something else, but I'm not going to fill you in just yet.

Stay tuned...
