Olivia Is A Happy Girl And We're So In Love With Her

The newest addition to our family, Olivia, is doing remarkably well. She has settled down, decompressed, and gotten used to the new surroundings, sounds, and her overall environment. Olivia keeps me company on the overnight. From wanting snuggles to a piece of produce, she has a wide range of noises that lets me know what she wants, when she wants it.

Coco, Sophie, and Lobo have adapted to their piggy sister. Coco will pace and bark a little when Olivia makes noises. It's as if they're communicating. Sophie, who has a very strong motherly instinct, checks on Olivia periodically throughout the day and evening. Lobo...well, he's just Lobo. He's curious and vocal and wants to sit on my desk while I work so he can keep tabs on Olivia.

Olivia loves to be held and petted. She sniffs my face with curiosity and, at times, will lick and nibble my finger. One of her favorite spots is my desk. She stares at the monitor. I'm almost tempted to play a video of another piggy while she's sitting there.

She is absolutely loving life. Soft bedding. A wide variety of fresh produce. Timothy hay. Chews. Treats. Good food. Playtime. Snuggle time.  She has her very own Christmas tree and stocking.

And, thanks to our friend and piggy Mom over at Petco, Olivia now has a Santa hat. In the next week or so I'm going to attempt to do a photo shoot of Olivia wearing hat. There will be plenty of melon bribes for that.

Olivia is a happy girl and we're so in love with her.
