This Winter has been. Well. Weird. In fact, I am fairly certain that we broke weather recorded history. For the least amount of snow during the Winter season. We got a few inches here and there. But. It didn't amount to anything and melted the following day.
Our daffodils popped up and started budding early. I took this photo on March 14th.
A week later, they were in full bloom. Lisa picked a bunch of bouquets to display on our dining room table.
Including these smaller versions of daffodils. A vibrant yellow and orange.
We picked some for our neighbor friends.
This year, more than ever since we bought our house in February of 2020, we can utilize one of our backyards for flowers.
And...
Maybe, this year, for vegetable gardens?
We technically have 2 backyards. Both are fenced in. The small one, we use for our furry kids. The large one, well...
Nothing yet.
Between the COVID-19 Pandemic that shut our state down in 2020, and discovering the amount of wildlife that visits our backyard, we have been limited and hesitant.
I think this year is going to be different.
Or, I'm hoping.
I have done a considerable amount of research.
Having a successful vegetable garden is not impossible.
It will take a lot of work and effort and monitoring.
But.
Sigh.
Exhale.
It's going to happen.
I will keep you posted.
