A Burst Of Color And Homemade Apple Pie Ice Cream

My original goal for this week was to get the dining room and the home office painted. But, after a frustrating day yesterday, that's not going to happen. But. That's okay because even though I personally have a deadline, we don't necessarily have a deadline. Things don't always go as planned. I'm okay with that.

I took a break from painting today because I needed to spend some serious time in the kitchen. Even though I cook and bake every single day, I spend the most time in our Bodacious Kitchen on Sunday and Wednesday. Those are days when I meal prep and bake up a storm for desserts and Lisa's work snacks.

I baked chocolate chip cookies and pumpkin bread. I made a thick apple cinnamon jam so I could whip up a batch of my fresh made apple pie ice cream for dessert. And, the garlic herb pizza crust is rising because pizza was on the menu for dinner tonight.

Dinner and dessert came out fabulous! It was my first time making apple pie ice cream. It was love at first bite.

I'll be doing touchups tomorrow in our dining room and putting it back together. So far, we are in love with the trim and wall colors we chose and we are anxious to fill our home with more and more color.

But more so, it is bringing our house, our home to life! It's like night and day in comparison to the Big Bodacious Painting Project we did back in May of 2018.

I'll keep you posted.

And, before and after photos will be posted shortly!
