It Is Not Always About What You Sell Or The Money You Make. It Is About Making Connections.

Last weekend, Lisa made a couple of Bodacious DIY Birdhouses. She wanted to make more, but we had some custom orders to finish and wanted to get a jump start on some slat signs and garden slat stake signs. I've been working on getting those painted, detailed, and varnished over the weekend and beginning of this week.

I finally got the 2 Bodacious DIY Birdhouses done.

I posted them both as Up For Grab Items on my personal Facebook page earlier today.

The Flamenco Red birdhouse was scooped up almost immediately by a phenomenal woman who lives about an hour and a half away from us. I was a little surprised because shipping is not available on the birdhouses and we only deliver very locally.

However, this woman was determined to visit our neck of the woods to pick up her Bodacious DIY Birdhouse.

I'm not going to lie. I was very, very excited for this visit.

After multiple messages back and forth, she's going to pick up her birdhouse next Friday. And, she's going to join us for dinner that evening.

I. Am. Very. Very. Excited.

Yes, between Lisa's extended hours and trying to stay on track with my work schedule and everything between, it's chaotic in our bodacious home.

But, on the opposite end of the stick, I have been reminded not to use busy as an excuse.

With that being said, we have an exceptional evening planned for next Friday. I'm super excited. This woman has been a constant on my personal Facebook page and beyond. She's an elder to both Lisa and myself.

What I'm going to say next will probably seem silly to most, but...

She loves all veggies on a pizza.

That's kind of a big deal to me because in the past, I've always made my homemade veggie pizza with massive restrictions. No olives. No mushrooms. No spinach.

Blah. Blah. Blah.

As those restrictions flow in, I think to myself, "Well, I'll just make a damn cheese pizza."

The woman who will be sharing food at our table likes all veggies.

And, when I asked what she wanted for dessert, she said, "Fruit. Boring, right??!"

At that point, I 'bout near jumped out of my chair.

No. Not boring!

It's refreshing!

I'm so excited!

As of now, I haven't sold the last one of our Bodacious DIY Birdhouses.

That's okay.

We will happily hang it on our front porch.

What matters to me is that we get to meet a remarkable woman who's been on my Facebook friend's list for a while. Someone who I have been wanting to meet for a long time now.

She loves all veggies and fruit.

Sometimes, it's not about the stuff you sell or the money you make, as we learned for many years while operating Bodacious Biscuit Love...

It's the connections and the great people you meet during your journey.
