An Obstacle Of Chew Bones And Fetch Toys

Within 2 minutes after sitting at my desk in the morning, before I take my first sip of coffee, Willa drops her fetch toy at my feet. Most times I bend down to grab her toy within seconds. If I don't, she sits there patiently for about a minute. Then, she'll make one of her cute little noises as if to say, "Mommy, I want to play fetch. Mommy. Mommy. Mommy."

As of late, she's been doing something new. If I don't respond to her request to play fetch right away, she'll spend at least 10 minutes gathering toys from the other rooms and bringing them to my desk.

Sometimes, when I'm not at my desk, she'll do the same thing. She'll empty all of the doggy toy boxes. The home office floor is covered in toys.

When it's time for me to meander back to my desk, I'm met with an obstacle of chew bones and fetch toys.

I sit. She sits. I look at her. She looks at me.

This will go on until I choose a fetch toy.

Every day is an adventure with Willa.
