It's Been A Week Since Willamina Joined Our Family

Yesterday marked a week since sweet Willamina joined our family. It's been crazy. I had to shift my schedule around a bit including when I sleep. Total. Sleep. Deprivation.  This was, and still is, necessary while Willa adjusts to her new surroundings, her siblings, the new sounds, us, and everything between. Although we've had some challenges because she's in heat, that didn't stop her from making it quite clear she's the perfect fit, and balance, to our family.

Coco, Sophie, and Lobo adore her. And, she's quite the active, hyper pup for Lobo. They tire each other out. Watching them play together has been nothing short of entertaining. Coco joins in every now and then. Sophie just sits and observes, giving THE LOOK, as if to say, "My family is crazy." Her and Lobo have already taught Willa how to howl.

Total. Cuteness. Overload.

As of now, Willa has almost transitioned to the same homemade meals we feed Coco, Sophie, and Lobo. So far, no food allergies, sensitivities, or digestive issues. We ditched her store bought treats already. She loves our homemade biscuits. We'll continue to introduce her to a variety of lean meats, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables.

Willa be heading to the doctors soon for a physical, to get UTD on shots, a fecal test, nail trim, a SNAP 4Dx Plus Test, and we'll get her on Revolution. We've been using Revolution for 5 years on all of our kids and we're extremely happy with it.

Once Willa is out of heat, the calendar will be marked and her appointments will be made for pre-opp blood work and spay surgery. Exhale.

We want to, once again, thank everyone who came forth with support. The new addition to our family was NOT planned. But, the Universe shifted. Did a lil' shimmy shake. It was meant to be.

Thank you Kim, Alex, Bob, Char, Nancy, Karen, Shelia, Cindy, Jeff, June, VCA Plainfield Animal Hospital, Ledyard C.H.A.I.N., Martha, Brian, and our Bodacious Community and beyond.
