Willa Is A Sneaky Lil' Girl

We added a second dog bed to our home office. They're up against the wall beside my desk. Most of the time, Lobo and Willa will nap there. Sophie will join them occasionally although she prefers the dining room dog bed or sofa. Coco loves to nap on our bed or the sofa. Most days, this is typically the scene.

I've been incredibly busy all afternoon and evening while Lisa is at work. Putting the final touches on our bathroom makeover. Making homemade strawberry jam. Writing and publishing blog columns. Housework. Food prep.

The list goes on.

While working on a blog column, I glanced over to where Lobo and Willa were napping.

Total. Cuteness. Overload.

I snapped a photo before getting up to check on the strawberry jam.

While up, I checked the rising bread dough, made sure Coco and Sophie were covered up, visited the Bodacious DIY Dog Mom Workshop to see if the paint was dry on a few pieces I'm working on, and grabbed a bottle of diet iced tea.

I was gone from my desk 20 minutes tops.

When I returned, Willa was sitting up in the dog bed giving me that look

We know that look very well.

I immediately glanced at the floor beside my desk chair.

There it was.

The one time I didn't push in my chair, Willa decided to shred up a couple of notes on my desk.

Our sweet Willa girl likes to put her personal touches on my myriad of colorful desk reminders when I forget to push in my chair.

It's not the first time she's done this and it certainly won't be the last.

I held out the shredded notes, looked at Willa, and asked, "What did you do?"

She gave me another version of the look while rolling onto her back and stretching all of her legs out.

That look translates to, "Don't be mad at me, Mommy. I couldn't help myself. You didn't push in your chair. The temptation was there. I love you so much."

As always, I rubbed her belly and planted a big kiss on her head.

Willa licked my chin and ran off to grab one of her many fetch balls.

Our evening continued on...
