I'm About Ready To Do A Rain Dance...

I published a blog column the other day about the view from my Bodacious DIY Dog Mom Workshop table. The table is right up against the window. On the other side of the window is a huge, gorgeous butterfly bush. It's a busy bush with butterflies, hummingbirds, bumblebees, and hummingbird moths. However, as of late, the butterfly bush is a sad reminder that we are in desperate need of rain.

As of now, we are in a moderate drought. We have not had a decent rainy day since early Spring. The only rain we've gotten in almost 2 months have accompanied thunderstorms. And, we've barely had any of those.

Our lawns are almost brown. The butterfly bush flowers are dying. The soil is dry as dust. The leaves on the tree are turning yellow and falling off. The grapes and berries have dried up. Our crop of strawberries sucked. The Summer flowers in the ground are wilting.

We. Need. Rain.

I'm about ready to do a rain dance.

That would include doing an awkward dance around our yard while sipping from a bottle of wine.

Lisa would be on the porch giggling.

Our neighbors, who barely know me yet, would probably end up shying away.

So.

Get your shit together, Mother Nature.

I really don't want to revert to this option.
