I'm Keeping My Fingers Crossed That I Do Not Catch What Lisa Has...

Lisa has been sick with the nasty cold virus that's been going around. Last weekend, she spent most of the afternoons relaxing and napping on the sofa with the kids. She was feeling miserable. The antibiotic she was prescribed hadn't kicked in yet. I spent that weekend taking care of her and working.

To back up a bit, in 2017, Lisa and I had a bad year with yucky sickness. In January, March, and September, we were both slammed with the cold flu virus that was spreading like wildfire. Lisa got it first. About 4-5 days later, I had it.

In July of that year, Lisa was bitten in the head once again by a tick and tested positive for Lyme. At the same time, she tested positive for Mono.

This year, in May, I got really, really sick. Scary sick. It took me almost a month to recover. To this day, I still don't have 100% of my sense of smell and taste back.

Thankfully, Lisa didn't catch it.

Then, in August and in September, I got a bad bout of strep and an ear infection.

Again, thankfully, Lisa was spared.

A week and a half ago, Lisa started getting congested. She thought it was allergies. I knew better. After a few days of battling it out, she finally went to the doctor. Nope. It wasn't allergies.

Again, last weekend, she spent most of the time on the sofa with the kids resting and napping. I had to put my foot down. Hands on my hips. But, it didn't take much of that for her to cave.

I assumed, which I know never to do, that I was in the clear because the 4-day mark had passed. Then today, I knew something wasn't right.

I had "bad allergies" all today. No energy. Weak. It took every ounce of my being to put in 10 hours of work in the Bodacious DIY Dog Mom Project Workshop.

 Ugh!

No!

Lisa noticed I was off.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed I didn't catch what Lisa had and is still getting over.

Sigh.
